Sharing Spirits ‘ZNMD’

Hawa ke jhokon ke jaise aazad rehna sikho,

Tum ek dariya ke jaise lehron mein behna sikho,

Har ek lamhe se tum milo khole apni baahein,

Har ek pal ek naya sama dekhen yeh nigahaein

As rightly quoted and aptly portrayed by Imraan, Arjun and kabir, Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, better known as ZNMD shows a life everybody wants. A vacation everybody wants to take. And a spirit everybody wants to carry. You like it or not, we like movies with which we identify. Movies that are somewhere about us but have an element of magic in it that makes them larger than life. Let’s pick each of them individually and see how much we can relate to them.

Arjun: Played by Hrithik Roshan, Arjun is a busy Wall Street banker who is so shackled in his job that he forgets to live. Busy stocking up money, he gives up love, stays away from friends and almost stops living (figuratively). It is only when he drops his fears and discovers the magic in nature and love in laila that prompts him to reclaim his life.

Kabir:  Can you imagine anyone else replacing Abhay  Deol for the role of Kabir. A simple, sorted guy who accidently decides to get married and discovers the true meaning of love, friendship and marriage while on this trip with his childhood buddies Arjun and Imran.

Imran: We could name this character Farhaan for every bit of Imran has been justified by Farhan Akhtar. An ad agency guy, Farhan is a love child who not only challenges life but also knows how to cherish life and discover the magical charm in it.

In a nut shell and as truly described by Imran aka Farhan;

Jo apni aankhon mein hairaniyan leke chal rahe ho

Toh zinda ho tum;

Dilon mein tum apni betaabiyan leke chal rahe ho

Toh zinda ho tum

So what are you waiting for? Christmas ?
